I HATE CHANGE! I AM SCARED TO DEATH OF TRYING SOMETHING NEW AND MOST IMPORTANT WILL I BE SORRY?!?!!?
So here is the question for you...
A) Should I leave well enough alone?
B) Am I crazy not to take the new job? (I like to think that I have it in the bag if I want it, when really I still have more of the hiring process to go through. I think a vain part of me wants to know if I am good enough.)
While you chew on that here is a synopsis of my prayer last week after I tested and before I knew I was going to get the raise I asked for...
"...I have a problem, this is what I have done to try to make it better, this is what I would really like to see happen (staying with my current company after they give me a raise and magically produce much more work because I hate change and I am a scaredy cat), I am leaving it in your hands."
I am not used to my prayers being answered in the affirmative (for the past too long they seemed to be "no not now, not at all, no, no, no," and now I don't know what to do with myself when He says yes to both of them...
Why do I have to be such an agonizer? It really drives Rob crazy.

Hum, that's a tough one. Who likes change? Too many things to think about. I haven't quite digested it all, either. You'll have give me a minute to think about it. Meanwhile, I hope you figure it out.
Isn't it awesome how the Lord answers prayers. He sometimes blesses us more than we can even comprehend. You've worked hard and deserve the blessings that come with that hard work.
It's always possible that both things are right- maybe you have two golden oppurtunities in front of you. Or maybe just one is right.
You have the benefit of knowing about the company your MIL works for, they may not put you through some of the things you have gone through with your current company- and more work on a schedule is always good. Sometimes change is very good, even if it is scary. Now I am not advocating one or the other, but my advice is to not let being scared of change be the deciding factor. Make a list of the pros and cons of both, and then go with the one with the most pros. After you pray about it of course...
Just my two cents- all the way out here across the country, with no repercussions if things go bad.
You will know what is right-
Starting a new company isn't just scary, you have to learn the new shortcuts and typing styles. And get used to a new supervisor. Is it worth the effort? Have you asked which choice is more right? Will you make more money? They might not start you out with as much as you are making now. Will there be a steady stream of work where you are now? If times get harder is your job secure? All tough questions. You need to decide not which one will be easier, but which one will be worth it. Sorry, I don't think I am much help at all. In fact, I probably made it worse. I'll just stop typing now.
I don't want a bloody nose if my advice is wrong. I think I'll skip on this one.
Love ya, you are always good at picking the right thing.
Does the word verify help? slowelss
Hmmmm....

Okay, I'm not the right person to ask as I am not very good at making decisions either, and I'm not very quick about it. If you wait for me to decide for you, you'll never get anywhere, so I'm afraid you're going to have to go to a higher source for your inspiration! ;-)
Good luck! You'll do the right thing! :-)
I agree with all the previous advice. I believe that especially when it refers to answered prayers like this, we know within our selves what the best choice will be. Sometimes it just takes a quiet moment so you can decide what feels right. Change is ALWAYS scary, but it is usually through change of some sort that we grow the most. One thing you know is that your current job obvously values you enough to listen to your complaints and instead of firing you they gave you a raise. Some food for thought...
Good luck, and I know that you will make whatever choice is right for YOU! (and your family of course!)
