I passed!!!

Wow! I took the last part of the test last night and it was so hard!!! It was timed but open book, so you should have seen me. I had 4 dictionary pages open and each one was looking something up for me at one time. It was funny but very nerve racking. After I submitted the test I got an instant score of...

90%!!!!!!

That could qualify me for the jump start program in which I will be able to do to an internship and hopefully get a good referral! I almost doubted that I would make it into this program.

Here is an email I got back from my test reports that I sent in: (Different than the second part of the test that I took last night.)

OK, Bonnie, very nicely done. Am sending you the small list of errors or "improvements."
You may take the final whenever you are ready. It takes about two hours. Here is the login...

They are still going to review the test themselves and the score could still change...

I will keep you all posted!

Now why didn't you just give us your log in password so one of us could have taken the test for you. I know what a ferenulum is, but you might have to check the spelling with one of your four dictionaries!!!

Awesome job. And good luck finding two hours for the final, I mean good luck on the final!!!

Sorry I confused you. I took the final last night and that is what I got 90% on. I am just waiting to hear back on the final score from all of it together. That email was for the transcriptions I had to send in.

OK smarty, can you tell me the difference between phagia versus phasia? That is one that got me on the test. I wasn't paying attention since they sound the same.

Congratulations, Bonnie! That's so awesome! I knew you could do it! I have to say, after all the studying and practicing you've done, you must be pretty darn smart now (not that you weren't before, just that you're even smarter now!), so intelligent! :-) You must have a huge vocabulary anyway! I sure don't know any of those words you and Miss Smarty Pants mentioned. My computer does have a dictionary though; let's see...
OK, I tried two different dictionaries on my computer and didn't find any of those three words in either one; however, the second one brought up aphasia (with an a in front) instead of phasia; aphasia means "loss of ability to understand or express speech, caused by brain damage." That's all I got. You'll have to enlighten us all about those words. I'm curious now. Anyway... Good job, BonBon!

Tami, no, I don't feel smarter. My vocabulary is not larger. At this point I can hear a word and find it in the dictionary by knowing the sounds and how words are combined but I still have to look most everything up.

ok, so I forgot to put the a's in front of those two words. Aphasia goes with speech and aphagia is pain or difficulty in swallowing. FRENULUM is a connecting fold of membrane serving to support or restrain a part (as the tongue).

You just have to have a good dictionary!

Okay Dr. Dirk you can stop laughing at me now. I will get it someday! They promised I would.
